SAN FRANCISCO, CA June 16th, 2021—Judges for the 2021 Gold Nugget Awards have named Viamonte at Walnut Creek, a Sequoia Living community, as an Award of Merit winner in its annual competition, which honors architectural design and planning excellence and draws entries from throughout the United States and internationally.
Viamonte at Walnut Creek received Merit honors as Best Age Qualified Senior Living Community. Viamonte was designed by HKIT Architects, built by Cahill Contractors, and developed by Sequoia Living and Greenbrier Development. In 2016, Viamonte received the Gold Nugget Grand Award for Best Senior Housing Community– On the Boards.
Chosen from the elite pool of Merit Award winners, Gold Nugget Grand Awards were announced during a virtual event on June 16th and VIAMONTE WAS CHOSEN AS THE WINNER.

Now in its 58th year, GNA is the largest and most prestigious competition of its kind in the nation. It honors design and planning achievements in community and home design, green-built housing, site planning, commercial, retail, mixed-use development, and specialty housing categories. This year’s winners were chosen from over 600 entries from around the world.
